It gives us a huge sense of nostalgia... and a small sense of shame to look back at our humble beginnings and the process of going through some "self-identification"... i.e. Coming up with a logo to represent Pocket Monkey Games.
Our first logo:
Ah yes, this old guy. We wanted to have a cute monkey that attracted people to it's design... except many people felt pretty creeped out by this one... Not great for marketing for people to be frightened of starting our games.
We asked one of our artists to redesign the logo using their own imagination:
Thought the first was a bit creepy? This one blows the last out of the water. We encouraged the artist to seek medical attention for their mental health.
A Fresh Start:
We actually teamed up with Michael Heald of www.FullyIllustrated.com to help us realize what exactly we wanted to portray our brand. Luckily for us, he is an absolutely fabulous artist with great vision for what he seeks to achieve. I also encourage you to check out his other work if you like his style.
Our next blog will be covering Sparta and our first trembling steps into the abyss of the AppStore.

An introduction to Pocket Monkey Games
Wow. Sad. We have been an iPhone developer for other 6 months but this is the first time we have ever created a blog.
Well, we shall not disappoint then! In this blog, we will post about what we are doing, what the AppWorld is doing, and just other stuff that we want to post about, unless the FBI stops us...
